Professional Experience
Stella’s practice centers on complex commercial litigation, representing companies and individuals in a variety of disputes including breach of contract, fraud, and related business torts.
Stella earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and earned dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and sociology from Cornell University. During law school, she was a member of the Berkeley Technology and Law Journal and Committee Chair of the Consumer Advocacy and Protection Society. She clerked as an extern for the First Appellate District of the California Court of Appeal, and was a legal fellow at Wikimedia Foundation where she focused on intellectual property, media, and international privacy laws.
Pragmatic and meticulous, Stella is wholeheartedly devoted to crafting strategic solutions that cater to her clients’ specific needs.
Prior and current matters include:
- Representing a nonprofit agency against former officers for fraud and breach of fiduciary duty.
- Representing a buyer against a seller of personal protective equipment for fraud and breach of contract.
- Defending a former asset manager of a trust against conservator alleging financial elder abuse and breach of fiduciary duty.
- Defending a commercial real estate investment firm in arbitration against former buyer for breach of contract.
- Represented a software enterprise company in a complex lender-liability matter against five major commercial banks with damages exceeding one billion dollars.
- Represented a real estate investor against commercial real estate company in multi-million dollar breach of contract dispute.
- Represented nonprofit homeowners associations and individual director in various litigation matters.
